I was looking for a lightweight, high quality fin that I could travel with. I also looked at many other open-heel fins. I have not had the chance to use them extensively yet, but I feel these are superior fin and definitely worth the price. The construction is quite sturdy with a more robust steel trap and buckle system. The blade is stronger and stiffer. I wear a size 10 and the L/XL fin fits very well. This fin is designed for use with dive booties. They are easy to adjust while in the water.
