I've had this crank on my Cannondale Synapse 5 for 3 years now. The crank is not bad, but I certainly think it could be better.Last summer, the crank bolt started coming loose every 20 miles or so. It was never over-tightened, and regardless of how many times the shop(s) or I have tried to remedy the issue, it just keeps coming loose; my guess is the fitting in the crank or the bolt itself have mucked up threading. I only use my Synapse for commuting ~12 miles a day for work and some occasional weekend rides, so it's not like I'm training or riding marathons with the thing.
Also, I've noticed that for the past couple of riding seasons, the crank will occasionally cause a quick chain jump, accompanied by occasional gear selection lag. This could, of course, be caused by the chain guide, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. ;]
Hope this helps anyone thinking of buying this. As I said, it gets the job done, but could surely be better. Though, for the price, you'll get your worth from the thing.
Cheers!
