Emergency Zone Survival Kit for 2 Person Review

We received our kit today- it has some great basics in it. I like that it has a water bottle and purifying tablets in addition to prepackaged H2O, in case of emergency and the 72 hrs is up and you're still stranded you have another option if you are near a body of water. Same goes for the camping stove with propane tablets and emergency candles. Also love the crank am/fm radio and flashlight. We are supplementing our bag with a better first aid kit- the one enclosed is kind of a joke. We also added a compass, military issue flint/fire starter, water pump/filter and more deyhdrated food to carry a us both thru a whole week. It didnt cost much more to add these items and we figured while we are trying to be prepared, we might as well add to our pack.

Compared to other packs I like this one- it gives you other options than just sitting tight and waiting to be rescued...

Was excited to purchase a new riding trench with so many options. This trench looks so nice that it can be used dual purpose...not just on the trail! The ONLY thing I am not crazy about is the zipper. The zipper in my opinion is rather small in that it is hard to thread and get started. Fit is good and I think true to size. Would have given 5 stars if it had a YKK zipper!
OK, I looked, and it does have a YKK zipper...but it is so tiny. If I'm riding and trying to get this thing zipped up, it will be a problem.

Giro 2013/14 Signal Polarized Winter Snow Goggles (White Icon - Polarized Rose) Review

When I finally got a helmet last year, it created a new issue for me. My old (Oakley) goggles were fine in the down position, but whenever I would put them up on the front of the helmet, they would fall off. They would either slide back and end up dangling off the back of my helmet, or they would slide forward crashing into my eyes unexpectedly and with a lot of pain. I bought these Giro goggles, because according to the marketing propaganda that came with my helmet, "Giro goggles are designed specifically for their helmets". I fully thought that this was just marketing speak, but since I wanted new goggles anyway, I thought that I would try these out. They really do work. Because of an adhesive band on the inside of the helmet strap, the problem I was having is completely gone. These goggles stay in place as well on the front of the helmet as they do on my eyes. Problem solved.

Aside from solving my eye smacking issue, these are all around great goggles. Good fog resistance, clarity, visibility, and protection. They do everything that I want goggles to do, just as well or better than my Oakleys which cost three times as much (albeit 14 years ago) do.

I highly recommend that you try these goggles, especially for use with the Giro helmets.
