Sport Supply Group Foam Create-A-Beam Deluxe Set Review

This is exactly what I needed for our kids to use in the basement. It's foam so I figure the likelihood of an emergency room trip is greatly reduced. It can be connected in various ways so the kids can use their imagination. After receiving it, I have to say I am a little surprised at the price of $90. It's actually just stiff foam. I thought it would be covered foam similar to what I see at the kids gymnastics places. It's porous foam. Although it seems like it's hard enough to stand up to the wear of my 3 kids, it still just seems really cheap. Had I seen it beforehand I would have expected the price to be half. I'm not returning it though because it's the closest thing I've found to a "safe" balance beam that can be changed around. I won't worry about these pieced turning into weapons like I would a wood beam.

2.5 kg Grey Cast Iron Competition Collars (Pair) Review

Ivanco is the only company I know of that sells quality collars along with barbells, dumbells, (really great commercial equipment that is durable, dependable, and that not only looks good, but works every time you do.) So after trying out numerous collars: York spinlock, Hampton bulldog, Spring clamps,etc... I found out Amazon had the Ivanco collars and very well priced. (You won't have to order a minimum of $200.00 to get these collars, not through Amazon)

I ordered the 2.5 grey competition collars (Ivanco) and got them last week.
When I took them out of the box (they are of solid quality), I had a strong feeling I would be very happy. I felt I finally found the collar that is going to work.
I have only used them 4 times so far but each time was consistant with the former.
A breeze to slide on, a breeze to slide off which makes this collar very pleasant
to deal with, but the best part is once these compression collars are locked in place, they are there to stay. No budging with these guys. They definitely keep the plates tight against each other and don't move until you release them.
Many manufacturers of collars state: "Ours don't move once locked in place on the bar." "Colleges and weightlifting competitiors all over the country use our collars." All of these slid down on the sleeve. Their claims fell through. Every collar that I purchased, I sent back and waited all over again and again (they failed with just one plate on each side of the bar.) How is a powerlifter who does deads and powercleans week after week loading a bar with 5-6 plates going to use a collar that is light and doesn't lock on the bar??? There is only one collar currently that I know of that will lock many plates in place on the bar, and at 5 lbs each, (they aren't light) but these compression competition collars from Ivanco are the only collar in town that will lock it all down. They are reasonably priced for their design,quality,and dependability.

115 HP Folding Outboard Motor Cart & Engine Stand Review

Cart arrived a few days after it was ordered. Assembly took about 1.25 hours and would have been quicker if the directions were better written. The wheels are pneumatic and while they probably roll easier, most of the cheap imported tubeless pneumatic wheels seem to leak after a year or two. I would have preferred solid or semi-pneumatic wheels but otherwise, the cart is what I wanted. I am using the cart to support a Nissan 15 HP electric start 4 cycle long shaft motor and it handles this motor well. I don't think the cart is built heavy enough for a 200 - 300 lb motor. Just my opinion. Overall, the cart is a good value, supports my motor well and makes it much easier to move the motor around and store it off season.

The gridlock shell pants are exactly what I wanted. Recco system, check. Fit right, Check...in fact one of the things not mentioned in the description of them is the adjusters for length, which came as a great surprise because I am short and stocky so I expected them to be too long. The picture on both Amazon's and Session's web pages are inaccurate if you are looking at the black model. The gridlocks are the same as the gray picture on Amazon. They are cargo pants with all the bells and whistles. I have fully expect them to hold up on the slopes and will update this review if they don't. You cannot beat this price!

I did not buy this from amaozn, and I am sorry i didn't. I got it 4+ years ago, and have used it every day on the job as a police officer. NO issues and it is rock solid. i have dropped the thing, i don't know how many times and it is still going strong. It is very rugged and durable. I charge it every few day and we are good to go. My only gripe is that because I have it in a carrier that leaves the tailcap of the light exposed, sometimes the cap will loosen from repeated trips in and out of the car. I solved that problem with a drop of blue locktite becuase you do not need to remove the battery to charge it.

The durable, waterproof, external body of the light stick is made from low density polyethylene (LDPE), and is phthalate free for safety. The internal illuminating chemical substance is non-toxic and non-flammable, and the components of the light stick are recyclable. The light stick floats in water and works best between 40 to 80 degrees F (4 to 27 degrees C), and although the light stick works at higher or lower temperatures, it is less effective in colder temperatures.

All sticks are tested at a temperature of 72 degrees F (22 degrees C) to determine the illumination duration. Each 10-degree C (50-degree F) increase or decrease in temperature doubles or halves the reaction rate, and therefore the brightness and duration. For example, the same light stick that emits approximately 30 lux (a unit that describes how much light is visible over a square meter) at 15 minutes after activation at 24 degrees C (75 degrees F) will be half as bright but glow twice as long at 14 degrees C (57 degrees F). At 34 degrees C (93 degrees F), the same light stick would be twice as bright, but glow half as long. Storage at elevated temperatures (above 120 degrees F or 49 degrees C) will decrease shelf life and start to soften the plastic tube, and increase the risk of a leak. Exposure to cold temperatures will not affect the light sticks if they are warmed above 40 degrees F (4.5 degrees C) before activation, unless they are frozen (which occurs at -15 to -20 degrees F, or -26 to -29 degrees C). Once light sticks have been frozen, they will still produce some light, but performance will not be as reliable. Humidity and atmospheric conditions do not affect the light sticks.

Light sticks are chemiluminescent substances in plastic tubes that provide hours of illumination in a number of safety, industrial, and military applications. Light sticks are waterproof, non-flammable, and non-sparking, which makes them useful in hazardous situations where sparks or flame could cause an explosion. Duration is determined by the chemistry of the formulation. Brightness is affected by temperature: the warmer the temperature, the brighter the light will appear. Viewing distance can be affected by temperature, moisture, and other elements. Exposure to direct sunlight can reduce shelf life and effectiveness.
