Big Agnes Cross Mountain 45-Degree Sleeping Bags (Intergrity), Reg Right Zipper Review

I used this bag this Summer on a week-long bike tour. This combined with the Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Sleeping Pad make for a great team. This summer was one of the hottest on record for North America so I actually found myself sleeping more outside than inside. But still, it was just right when there was a chill in the air. I did take it with me on a trip in October and that was different as the temperature got down to 39 or so. It was too cold for this bag at that temperature for sure, at least for me. I usually sleep hot when I've been biking the day before and I still felt the chill. So, great bag for 45 degree plus weather, just like it says!

The construction is rugged with a zipper that flips inside and out to allow easy access. I found unzipping it to be a little tricky, though, when you had the air core mattress in. I'm an average-sized guy 6'0" ~200 lbs. It still felt a little tight when I wanted to unzip. Otherwise, when I was in the bag, it felt very roomy and comfortable. The draw string cinch closes the top up if you want to lock out a draft and the built-in pillow holder is great! I stuff it with my clothes or a jacket and a camp pillow.

Best part about Big Agnes products is that they stand by them and will often repair them at no charge. Great bag from a great company.

FSA Omega Compact 170mm 34-50t Crankset Black with Bottom Bracket Review

I've had this crank on my Cannondale Synapse 5 for 3 years now. The crank is not bad, but I certainly think it could be better.

Last summer, the crank bolt started coming loose every 20 miles or so. It was never over-tightened, and regardless of how many times the shop(s) or I have tried to remedy the issue, it just keeps coming loose; my guess is the fitting in the crank or the bolt itself have mucked up threading. I only use my Synapse for commuting ~12 miles a day for work and some occasional weekend rides, so it's not like I'm training or riding marathons with the thing.

Also, I've noticed that for the past couple of riding seasons, the crank will occasionally cause a quick chain jump, accompanied by occasional gear selection lag. This could, of course, be caused by the chain guide, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. ;]

Hope this helps anyone thinking of buying this. As I said, it gets the job done, but could surely be better. Though, for the price, you'll get your worth from the thing.
