The main reason I ordered this is the gap between the seats that goes straight into the cargo area bothered me and I wanted a way to cover it up. Since I have black leather seats I figured this would work perfectly, and it looked like it would fit just above the center armrest between the seats (which the 2013 Volt has.)

Well once I got the organizer I noticed that the organizer sits very low and runs into the armrest, so it couldn't be installed without its attached backboard sticking well above the top of the back seats. So I had to decide do I want to send it back, or figure out some way to have it modified. I decided to have it modified by having it removed from its backboard and sewn back on higher on the backboard. I took it to a local furniture repair place and they were able to modify it for about $20, which was a good price. The new stitching does show on the back side of the backboard in the trunk area, but because of the way the thing is designed it couldn't be avoided. The stitching doesn't really look bad, so I'm willing to live with it. The only other thing to note is the Volt label on the inside of the backboard is now covered up by the organizer since it was moved up to be flush with the top of the backboard.

Since it didn't work in my 2013 without having to make modifications I gave the organizer only 3 stars. If I had had an earlier model Chevy Volt that didn't have the armrest I'm sure I would have given it more stars.
