Al Mar Hawk Plain Folding Knife Review

This is a very well designed knife. The fit and finish is among the best I've ever seen: the grind and the manufacturing tolerances are noticeably better than the Spydercos or Kershaws that I own. The knife is super light, super compact and amazingly sharp. It is one of the best everyday folders that I have ever seen.

EDIT: The knife was way too tight for the first month or so that I had it, causing me to consider sending it back. I'm glad I didn't. It took some fiddling, but it eventually loosened up enough to be usable. It still doesn't fly open like my other knives, but it's certainly usable for EDC.

PRO TIP: Lube up the knife with some powdered graphite as soon as you can. I also tried Tri-Flo lubricant, but that didn't seem to help. The graphite made a noticeable difference right away.
