I bought this messenger bag to replace a backpack that had seen too many trips shoved under an airplane seat. I took it to California last week and it preformed beautifully. With flap buckets it is very secure. Enough compartments and pockets for everything I need. If I have a criticism it's that it's too big and I am tempted to bring more stuff which makes it heavy to lug around but that's my fault not the bag. The straps are sturdy, material will hold up and it fits under the seat in front of me even with way too much stuff packed inside!
