I bought this to use as a daypack during a 7 day camp/hike up Kilimanjaro, and it was perfect. The pack itself is relatively light, and it is just the right size for carrying all the essentials- some layers, plenty of water, snacks, and other small accessories (camera, headlamp, etc). The back is properly cushioned and the ventilation system works as advertised - I hiked for 8+ hours a day with about 10lbs of my back and it was extremely comfortable. My back never got uncomfortably sweaty, and the pack distributed the weight evenly. I also like the fact that you can access things at the bottom of the bag through the bottom zipper. This doesn't have the internal divider that the Futura has, but I didn't feel like I needed it.
