Product Description

Less recoil equals faster follow up shots. The gas block has two main features: adjustability from the front of the block and infinite adjustment by a detent locking mechanism. The block mechanism consists of a set screw and a detent button. The set screw regulates the amount of gas that flows through the block. It can be adjusted repeatedly in the field without the need of using LoctiteTM. You can regulate the amount of gas flow by unscrewing (opening) and screwing (closing) the set screw. Once you obtain the proper setting, the screw is locked into place by a detent. To adjust the set screw you push in the detent, use a Hex Key to turn the screw to the proper setting, and release the set screw. The screw is locked in place by the detent. It will not turn (move) until the detent is manually pressed in.

The Syrac gas block is hands down the best gas block I've used. I have one on each of my two LR-308 rifles. You can fine tune the adjustment to work with hand loads, or just adjust the ejection distance to not have to walk so far to police your brass. This block solves the over-gassed LR-308 16" rifle issue that was present in some earlier models.I have nothing negative to add, the price is even competitive as compared to inferior designs. Inferior meaning having to use loctite to hold the set screw in place and having to reapply with every adjustment. On the Syrac Ordnance gas block the detent has to be depressed or the adjustment screw will not turn, ie back out while shooting and get lost and never needs to be loctited. I own other products designed by Jason Adams and have had no issues at all with any of them.
